Resolution 178.  (Support)

That the Federation support calls to lower the voting age to 16.

My daughter was very engaged at 16 and because of school more informed of the issues than many of my relatives.

At 16 students are driving, working, and making major decisions.  It makes sense that informed members of society are able to vote and make a difference in their future.

I understand that some members see 16 years as not well informed or able to make this kind of major life decision.  I feel the exact opposite.  Schools have been educating our students than a large portion of adults self educate.  If students are directly involved in society, they should have a vote on the people who coordinate our society.
