Resolution193. (Support)

That the Federation lobby the Ministry of Education/BC Teachers' Council to ensure that teacher education programs at all BC universities include requisite course work which focuses on union education, including instruction on local association membership requirements in BC public school employment, the role of unions, and Iabour history.

While I am in support, I realize that teacher education programs struggle to prepare for their teaching roles.  This is valuable information for members to have; however, PDP students are paying for their education and some may not feel this is what they are paying to learn.

Resolution 194.  (Support)

That the Federation co-ordinate with universities to initiate a review of teacher education programs to investigate the working/learning conditions of racialized teacher

Following with other motions, likely amend to replace racialized teacher with person of colour teacher candidate.
